Chickweed Arts is looking for Trainees and Nunavummiut Filmmakers

After a very quiet springtime, on hold due to Covid, the summer, fall and early winter brought a return to all of our projects, with multiple filming trips to Mittimatalik and Rankin Inlet.

We are currently deep into post-production on those projects, with new films in pre-production for 2021.

Chickweed Arts extends our gratitude and congratulations to our past trainee, Rico Manitok, who has now returned to his home community of Rankin Inlet, after working alongside Jamie Griffiths for almost 3 years. He is very much missed, though he will continue to work with Chickweed on projects in the Kivalliq region, or as needed, in other communities!

One good thing, is we can now open up space for a new trainee. If you live in Iqaluit, are interested in film-making as a potential career, are reliable and motivated, please send a message from the contact page, with some information about yourself. Chickweed will get back to you within a day or two.
