Ilitaqsiniq Miqqut 2019
This month Chickweed Arts was asked to create photo portraits of the women of Ilitaqsiniq’s 2019 Miqqut (sewing) program in Iqaluit. The four month Miqqut program allows plenty of time for the women to learn how to make custom patterns and explore their own design ideas for multiple items of clothing, such as parkas, mitts, snow pants, hats, headbands and more.
